Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has been working with Swiss watch manufacturer Richard Mille since 2010. They are behind the creation of a popular line of wristwatches. Despite weighing 11.5 grams, the Richard Mille RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal measures 37.25 millimeters in diameter and 7.2 millimeters thick. The distance between the lugs for attaching the strap is 47.25 millimeters.

The manufacturer has also tried to minimize the weight of the dial. The minute and hour hands, the drum at the 11 o’clock marker and the flying tourbillon at the 5 o’clock marker are skeletonized.

At the heart of the watch is the ultra-thin RMUP-01 movement, which can be called a marvel of engineering that combines high efficiency and elegance. It is made of grade 5 titanium alloy with PVD spraying, providing greater durability to the moving parts. To reduce weight and maintain high resistance to deformation, the V-shaped bridge is made of carbon fiber. The watch has a power reserve of 55 hours.
